President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in Tatar national holiday Sabantui in Alkeyevsky District
June 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the Tatar national feast of Sabantui in the Alkeyevsky Municipal District, Tatarstan.
The event took place in the district centre of Bazarnye Mataki.
The visitors had a chance to see improvised sites imitating the life and traditions of Tatar, Russian and Chuvash villages. The event started from the show “Holiday of plough”. Head of the Alkeyevsky Municipal Distict Ferdinat Davletshin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the guests with greetings.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that people started celebrating Sabantui on June 11. Now it is not only a Tatar holiday, it is annually celebrated in 55 Russian regions and in 23 other countries.
June 12 saw three holidays being celebrated - Sabantui, the state holiday the Day of Russia and Whitsunday.
Speaking about the Alkeevsky Municipal District Rustam Minnikhanov noted that it greatly contributes to the development of the republic. “The changes that have taken place here over the past five years are significant. They are evident in economic and social-cultural spheres. We should give credit for efficient work of administration of the region,” the Tatarstan President said.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov today the Alkeyevsky District might be proud of being a “pilot one” in Tatarstan and Russia in terms of progressing the most advanced technologies in agricultural sector. It would be impossible without attraction of private investors. Head of republic stressed that the region has great prospects and wished dwellers of Alkeevsky region success in work and prosperity.
