Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Chairman of Russian Filmmakers Union Nikita Mikhalkov
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Chairman of the Russian Filmmakers Union Nikita Mikhalkov. The meeting took place at the Tatarstan House of Government.
Nikita Mikhalkov is on one-day working visit in Kazan. Earlier today, together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials he attended the flower laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame in the Victory Park in Kazan commemorating the Day of Remembrance and Mourning and the 70th Anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War).
Issues related to the development of domestic cinematography, cooperation between Tatarstan and the Russian Filmmakers Union were discussed at the meeting. Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Head of the Tatarstan Presidential Department of issues of internal policy Aleksandr Terentiev also attended the meeting.
Nikita Mikhalkov will also meet Great Patriotic War veterans, creative intellectuals and young people and attend the demosntation of Burnt by the Sun 2: Citadel in Suvar Plaza, Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov will be in the cinema too.
