A global project called “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan Republic: an ancient Bolgar town and Sviyazhsk island-town” has been presented for the members of the “Digital technology in the innovation system of treasuring cultural heritage” international forum.
The presentation has been held by the Deputy of Prime Minister – Zilya Valeeva, the Minister of Cultural Affairs of Tatarstan Republic.
According to her words, the renaissance idea of this project has become a unifying component for all Tatars. In the early days after setting up the account details for donation a lot of professors, senior citizens, and different people have given freely to the Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments revival despite their financial contribution could not be significant enough. Nevertheless it has become very important for the members of the Fund as it is an approval of their undertakings. For the moment the Federal share in the project is 400 million rubles, the same sum is a Republican share, almost 300 million rubles has been collected as charitable contributions: funders have allocated around 200 million rubles and around 100 million rubles have been allocated by the citizens.
To make Bolgar and Sviyazhsk coequal to other objects of the World cultural heritage is an aim of the global project. This project is made from four parts: study and popularization of the cultural heritage objects, protection, financial part consolidation, and infrastructure developing.
The newest digital technologies which are used in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk render assistance in work very much. Archeological excavations are provided with data base management system(DBMS), geographic information system(GIS), digital nondestructive methods. Bolgar virtual archeological museum is planning to be opened in nearly future.
66 unique monuments of the cultural heritage situated in these towns. The project documentation has been elaborated for 58 of them. The biggest part of the work that is planned in subsequent years is a draft without which it is impossible to develop and preserve monuments. For example, it is a shoring of foundation in Sviyazhsk, it is a rectification of previous years’ mistakes in Bolgar made because of the lack of finance and impossibility to use modern technologies. Renaissance work is going to be held not three years but significantly more however these three years will be the most important and designated.
It is planning to build new museums, exhibitions and fit them up. The Bolgar museum will be at the same time a marina and a brink strengthener. Quay wall also will be constructed in Sviyazhsk. The projects of residential houses have been presented on the forum which must be built instead of shabby dwelling and will fit smoothly to the island’s view.
