Traditional holidays held annually in the Republic of Tatarstan are as follows: Chuvash “Uyav”, Mordvinian “Troitsa” (Trinity), Mari “Semyk”, Udmurt “Gyron bydton”, Krayshen (baprized Tatars) “St. Peter’s Day”.

The main aim of these holidays is preservation of cultural heritage and further developing of national identity of the peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan, junction to cradles of folklore festal traditions of children and adolescents, cultivating in them the culture of international relations.
